The Walking Dead Season 5 Trailer Finally Released!!! And we are so Excited!

After months of speculation, we finally get a glimpse of what’s to come on Season 5 of the Walking Dead. Over three minutes long, the trail was official screened at the 2014 Comic Con in San Diego, and we’ve got it here for you.
Last time we left Rick and the gang, everyone was in a traincar marked “A.”It opens right where the last season ended, with Rick appropriately saying, “They’re screwing with the wrong people.” We see Abraham yell and a flash ensues, presumably with a bang that follows. Some people from Terminus enter the traincar wearing old-fashioned gas masks (“Are you my mummy?”) and we next hear Gareth (talking to Rick) say “we didn’t want to hurt you.” Flashes of a gun fight follow, and Rick is knocked down. As he looks up, there is a blurry image of someone standing over another person laid out on a table. Rick is hog-tied on his knees, and Gareth tells him nothing is personal.
Everyone is on their knees, hands tied behind their backs, lined up execution style. Bob tells Gareth, “You don’t have to do this, we can put the world back how it was. (More frantic) We have a man. We have a cure. We just have to get him to Washington. You just have to take that chance!” Gareth smiles and evil smile at Rick. I seriously thought he was just going to kill Bob anyway.
Bob must have been convincing enough, because Gareth tells Rick that the gang must go to Washington to cure this thing (and he doesn’t kill Bob). They all head out to Washington (how long does it take to walk from Georgia to Washington, DC? I get the feeling this is going to be an Israelites leaving Egypt for the Promise Land type of situation). Rick expresses his distrust for Gareth and his crew, and, with wisdom beyond his years, Carl says, “We’ve all done something.”
At some point Gareth realizes Rick doesn’t trust him, and Rick tells him, “These people are my family. If you hurt them in any way, I will kill you.”
It looks like there comes a point where Abraham wants to leave some behind (despite them all swearing they would never separate again), but Rick says no. I think all the pressure might be getting to Abraham, because he looks more tense than usual, and there is a quick clip of him falling to his knees in the middle of a road. After a clip of Sasha having her breakdown, we see a very brief clip of that creepy room in Terminus and read, “NEVER AGAIN. NEVER TRUST.” What is with that room???

Rick tells Carl, “You. Are not safe.” Huh, just now figuring that out, are we?
Of course, there’s plenty of walker violence and killings to round out the trailer. Then, just when you think it’s over, you realize there’s an entire minute left, and we switch gears a little bit.We hear a woman say, “Every sacrifice we make needs to be for the greater good, and here, you’re not the greater good.” Oh, there’s Beth. She breaks out of what might be a prison or hospital (she’s wearing scrubs). She has plenty of blood, gore, and shooting in her scenes too.
So, here’s to the gang being back together. Oh, and don’t worry, Judith is alive and well.
